James Blacksun is a professional musician, songwriter, arranger and performer
from Evergreen, Colorado. His stylish play and knowledge of the “biz” makes
him a requested session artist and sideman. He is professional musician for hire
who works with many regional and national acts. He develops tunes for radio,
T.V. and film with Dr. Greg Bock (Grammy member) and Denver based band,
Blind Thistle. In 2006, Dr. Scott Martin (Julliard School) welcomed James to
the faculty of The Academy of the Arts, Denver. At AOA, James teaches and
performs with Stuart Whitmore, Kris Russell, Doug Gallob and the rest of the
Stars of All That Entertainment, LLC. James is currently teaching and
developing musical educational materials with Creative Music Strategies, Inc.
Founder and Director, Derek Berg. James founded the independent label Room
‘A’ Records and teaches the CMS method from his studio at the Evergreen
School of Music.
